Sarah is passionate about growing delicious organic, seasonal vegetables. On 30 acres of Soil Association registered farmland, situated on the peaceful marshes of the Dengie Peninsula in Essex, she produces a wide range of vegetables all year round, from aubergines to onions, cabbages to courgettes, and many more.
Organic farming means no chemicals are used to kill weeds or insects, and as such the farm provides a natural habitat in which wildlife can thrive. Ploughing, planting, hoeing and harvesting is frequently done by hand, and in all seasons and weathers!
Providing fresh vegetables every week of the year is quite a challenge, but careful planning means that Sarah offers an interesting and varied range of seasonal produce throughout the four seasons which is available through our weekly Box Scheme, Farm Shops, Stoke Newington Organic Farmers Market, London, first and third Saturday of the month 10am to 2.30pm and Burnham on Crouch Farmers Market (third Sunday of the month) Carnival Hall 9am to 12.30pm.
